Actually, uncontrolled diabetes can cause impossible breath. Diabetic ketoacidosis, which comes from having illustrious blood sugars for too long causes what doctors possession "fruity breath." Basically, bad breath that can't be wash away.
Check your blood sugars and make sure your medication are working. The breath might be a sign that new meds are needed.
I don't own diabetes but I have another disease that requires me to bear Metformin, and it smells like crap contained by the bottle. Now that you mention this, I think here may be a connection because I never used to own bad breath deeply, but now it is more frequent. TMI, I know but you asked. By the course I take 500 mg day after day of the Metformin.
