I am looking for more skin friendly products to use to remove adhesives from insulin pump infusion sets and sticky stuff medical tapes. I enjoy heard the Avon's Skin-So-Soft works ably but I don't like the smell. I'm trying to stay away from anything too chemically.Does anyone know a homemade product to remove sticky stuff from insulin pump infusion sets?
Any type of fruit or veggie grease should work.
Good luck
I know rubbing alcohol will work but that also has a strong smell only just wash rotten with soap and hose after applying alcohol
warm vinegar, lemon liquid, and water.
Skin So Soft works for me. In a pinch, Go-Jo works pretty ably too. You can find Go-Jo in auto-supply stores and most massive retailers (Wal Mart and such).
Acetone works really well within removing tape residue but it can be sturdy on your skin. Nail polish remover contains acetone. If you use this, be sure to wash your skin capably after you use it to remove the residue and apply some lotion to keep it from drying your skin out.
EMT
Skin So Soft comes contained by other fragrances now. Find an Avon woman if you like the stuff. But regular mineral grease should do the job if Skin So Soft does it and no smell.
It might smell, but staple polish remover?
I use Uni-solve before taking a shower. It comes within little individually wrapped pledgets, like an alcahol wipe. It's smelly by works bearing more quickly than alcahol and later gets wash off.
How something like baby grease, or petroleum jelly? It works pretty well on sticky stuff.
